At Shades of Australia, we’ve been helping families and businesses across the Mornington Peninsula, Bass Coast and Bayside add beauty and comfort to their homes for more than 35 years. What started as a small family business has grown into one of the region’s most trusted names in blinds, curtains and outdoor shading thanks to our genuine care, expertise and lasting relationships.

From a Family Dream to a Trusted Local Name

Shades of Australia began over three decades ago, and for the past 25 years it’s been proudly owned and operated by the Paparella family.

In 2020, Nathan and Elisabeth Paparella took over the business from Neil & Ann-marie, continuing the legacy of personal service, exceptional quality and genuine relationships that Shades of Australia is known for.

While we’ve grown and evolved with new products, technology and design trends, the heart of our business remains the same - treating every customer like part of the family.
We’re still proudly independent, choosing only products we believe in from trusted brands like Verosol, Silent Gliss, Renson, and Blinds by Peter Meyer.

Every blind, curtain or shade we install is hand-selected and custom-made for each project.
